The mitsubishi product IS as good a car as any of the other "imports" However, that being said, they do need to change the styling and prescence of the lineup. I personally think that Mitsubishi has lost touch with the american public. That is also changing. The quality is there, they are making great strides with the eclipse and they are intoducing 5 new model over the next 20 or so months. They are different than any other car out there. You cannot buy a better car for the $$$. For you evo guys, of course you can't think that there is any other car that is as cool as the evo for the money. I personally think that the Galant GTS is better in all respects than a Camry V6. But then I don't like toyotas. They are, in my opinion bland, and without character, same goes for any honda. That is my opinion. For the $$$ there isn't a car that can compete for the potential, the quality and the ***** to the wall driving that an evo can deliver, yes even stock. We were a Subaru dealer for about 10 years and they make an awesome car. I would still take an evo over any subaru.

I'm done now. I have owned 2 mitsubishi's one my wife currently drives. I love the cars.

From a financial standpoint, MM has already "turned-the-corner", and will start making money soon. One finance source states it as such:
This week, we revisited eight “fallen angels”, i.e., companies that were once considered the crème de la crème of Japanese industries, and while subsequently going to the wall in terms of potential bankruptcy, have somehow survived or are well on their way to ensuring their survival.

This includes Sony (6758), Mitsubishi Motors (7211), The Seiyu (8268), Sanyo Electric (6764), The Daiei (8263), Resona Holdings (8308) and Mitsui Mining (3315). While these companies still have some serious problems, they are now moving in the right direction, and are being re-priced as “going concerns”.

That is Mitsubishi JAPAN. I think that most of us are talking MM North America. The North America market is the one that concerns me more than Japan. They are run as 2 separate companies.

There are plenty of people who drive Endeavors, Galants and Eclipses that do not want an Evo. Also, if Toyota, Honda and Nissan have a better image, which of their products compete with the Evo would you have picked had you not gotten a Mitsubishi? I've always found it odd that people who drive a niche car like the Evo complain because they can't get hyped up about a typical sedan, economy car, or SUV. Are Accords and Highlanders and Sentras really that exciting in comparison?
co-sign.

Why would a 120hp lancer, 162 ralliart, 268hp eclipse excite yall over an evo? It's not and you know that. Hell, some will even agree and say the 300hp STi just doesn't do it for them. To be honest, my ralliart excite me more than the G35, why? Well, its much more nimble, 5spd and fun to ripp around with. The G35 is a bit tame (automatic... wasn't my choice) and a boat at handling. It just depends on how you feel, but thank's for stating the obvious evo> mitsu whole car lineup.
