Lower Boost?

After installing my INJEN intake setup. i found something odd with my Boost. It would spike to 18ish and settle off at 16 where as before it used to hit 20 than settle at 19. So, I ripped Everything apart and started over again. used all new clamps. and every trick i could think of. Annndd Sur enough SAME THING. SOOOOOOOOO. Is there really that much of a drop when changing the piping and adding an intake? I mean seems alittle wierd to me. Currently runs JUST the stock ECU, no MBC no nothing i took out all my parts cause i had some dealer work to do!

im not looking for advice, Comments. All i wanna know is if this is common or not. Thats all

It could do to the size of the pipes.. The turbo has to push more air to fill them up. It's like if you get a bigger intercooler there is a bit of pressure drop.

Your MAF signals are most likely messed up because of the difference in piping diameter on the intake, thus causing erratic/low boost reading ...

+1
Your sig shows you use a utec, check your logs and look for inconsistant readings through your MAF (in Hz)
