What do you all think about the REAL Power of the Evo 8 ?
The owner of a shop up here in the North East called North East Auto Design http://www.forperormance.com made a call to Turbo XS for me on Tuesday. He was told that the actual horsepower of the Evo is much more then what mitsu says. it should be much higher then the 271, more like 300 or so. At the wheels they got about 230 on the dyno.
Before the Evo 8 i got now. i had an Audi S4 which we all know is a twin turbo AWD car. That was fast but i will say the Evo is faster then my S4 and even when i had a chip in the Audi, my dyno hp was low 200's, and with my audi set up, (chip exhaust) it was said to have 320 at the crank.
after all this said I am very happy with my new Evo 8, i cannot wait to race it on the 1/4 mile wednesday April 2nd. I will post my times. I will also have a Trust Exhaust on the car with an Apexi Intake the exhaust took 90 days by boat to get to the US, i ordered it a while ago. The whole build up will be documented in the RPM VIdeo Magazine series. http://www.rpmvideo.com Along with our street racing encounters this weekend. We are going to go race in Mass in a very well know street racing spot where a lot of people from the Vividracing.com forum go, should see some nice races with wrx's

I race at New England Dragway all the time. Glad to see that some Evo owners are going to go there as well.
