ughhh my roomate backed into my car and f'ed up my front bumper..no real damage just paint chipped off and scratches (pretty surprised how much damage there was to his prelude and not to my front bumper) but anyhow about how much of a pain in the a$$ and how much money will it cost for a decent body shop to match the paint and repaint the front bumper?

well to me it seems the car backing up gets more damage then the car getting hit in my cases.

long time ago had a friend reverse his integra into my crx, pushed my crx from the driveway into the streets (guess he couldnt hear my honking from his loud idle/exhaust) his back bumper had stress cracks all over and paint was knocked off in spots, my crx had no damage at all. he was moving very slow too, he claims he couldnt see the car in his rearview. i still make fun of him for it.

u should call around for price quotes tho, they vary from shop to shop

 

There may be more damage than just the scratches. The bumper can recover from a light hit quite well but there may be damage underneath.
