No rebates for the EVO 9 exept for college grad. Any dealer can show you a rebate and even have you sign a rebate form but it don't mean you are actually getting a real Mitsubishi rebate. At this point anyone just being able to get an EVO 9 for invoice is a good deal.

I have seen it posted on mitsubishicars.com that the college graduate discount applies on all models "except the Lancer Evolution." If this is not true, where is it printed that it does apply to the Evo?

I'm not sure a consumer could see it, but I did ask my manager about it and he found it on the dealer link to MMNA. It stated all Mitsubishi cars are elegible for college grad.

Are we still talking about the going price for Evo IX RS? Anyway, I offered invoice price on a red RS and they let me walk. I was truly surprised because I got my 05 MR for invoice from the same dealer a year earlier. Stupid cause they had 7-8 MRs, 2 GSRs and 2 RS not selling just sittin on the lot.
Called me back a few days later, I still wouldn't budge and neither would they. The best verbal offer they threw out was $800 below MSRP. Sheesh. They can keep it for that price.
Two Subaru dealers quickly dropped to $500 below invoice for a new STI. No, I didn't buy it.

I got my '05 RS for $30k OTD. That included 5yr/50k mile scheduled maintenance and their 10yr/100k mile powertrain warranty...the latter of which I've definately voided. I bought my car in February of '05 so there were still plenty of '04 models on the lot.

Give it a month or two for the VIII's to be gone and then the dealers will be more apt to wheel and deal on an IX...at least I would think.

My '05 RS in Apr '05 was $27K+TTL (~$29,000 OTD.) The RS you can deal on b/c they definately sit on the lot for a while. Keep an eye on the RS models, they sit on the lot for a long time (I believe I saw that only ~200 of last years EVO production were RS models.) Not as huge demand and the iX.

I'd wait a month or 2 if you can, the deals get much better in the spring after they sit on the lot for while and you know about how long its been sitting there, upperhand in the negotiating process...

It really depends, in some areas they are highly sought after and there are fewer produced. That said, you should be able to swing one for at least invoice or close to it, if not better.

That statement is true. Well at least I know you can buy them here for that. I just bought a 9rs from Mark Mitsubishi in Scottsdale AZ for $500 above invoice. If you go there ask for Mike moore.
