Gas Question ha

I'm in usaf and i'm stationed in england and my evo is just about to get here and i just realized that they don't sell premium gas on base. They just have 90 octane which i think is right in between. Do you guys think it would be okay to use? or should i put like a booster in everytime i fill up. I would buy it off base but it's like 5.00 dollars a gallon.

have you flashed your ecu if not it will be fine to run and you don't want to put a fuel booster all the time it is not good for your fuel system.

manual states 91 or better. i would suggest buying some sort of race gas (100 octane) and mixing in about 1 gallon per tank. that is if you are stock, and can get 100 somewhere.

I thought england would have a higher octane gasoline. I mean they do sell the FQ series there.

alcohol would do wonders for piece of mind. I wonder if it's the Regular MON/RON rating or if it's a europe standard.

California runs 91 octane evo's, I don't see how 1 octane point would HURT the car that much.

yeah i'm pretty sure that england has higher octane gas. But there gas prices are ridiculous. I get to pay u.s prices staying on base but our gas station only has 90 octane and diesel so that sux. i don't know how british people even drive with how much the gas costs.

Just make sure it's not 90 RON (commonly used in the UK) which is more like 86 octane here.
