Fake EVO IIs in Hickory, NC
I'll definately be keeping my eyes peeled when 2F2F comes out.
Tyrese: "Our new secret weapon.....they call it, the evo 2"
Paul Walker: "Dang, is it better than my evo 7?"
Tyrese: "It has a cross-drilled turbo rotor with NOS intake system and a sequential turbo supercharged engine. This bad **** runs 10s on a bad day."

Well, sad to say, but they have sold AT LEAST one of those. A few months ago, a guy I work with came into my office and said "Did Mitsubishi ever make an EVO II?"
I told him "Yeah... but they didn't sell them in America. Why?"
"I just saw one?"
"You wha?"
"Yeah, I just saw a red one over on Aspen St."
"Well, I know some people have gotten them into the country as track cars and registered them so they're semi-legal to drive on the streets. Was it RHD?"
"No... normal LHD"
I went on Google and found some pics for him, and everything I showed him he said "No, that wasn't it... the spolier wasn't that wing... the hood vents didn't look like that"
We finally came to the conclusion that some poor schmuck had just slapped the stickers on a base Lancer. It wasn't until I was talking to another friend of mine at lunch on Wednesday that we found out the real truth.... some rich schmuck that owns a dealership slapped some stickers on a base Lancer

That reminds me of when the Acura dealer by me had "Type-R" versions of the Integra LS and the Acura CL. They were actually telling customers that they were real "Type-R" cars. Sheesh.
That is quality! I'd buy it drive it around and then demand my money back for false advirtising
Some dealerships are hella cool, and then others are assmonkeys that try to make money anyway they can by fooling the consumer...I just hope some poor bastard doesnt go there and pick it up b/c its an EVO II. That picture is quality though! haha.

Update: I saw one on the road today. It was that same color, but without the "EVO II" on the side, just the hood vents and badge on the trunk.
So yes, it would appear some people DO buy this crap

Potentially PCP...it's gotta take something very powerful to make someone do that to a car.
