Does radio relocate work in 06 IX MR ?

Does radio relocate work in 06 IX MR ?

Ive searched, got the directions for the swap. I just cant find if any body has done it in a IX MR. Im ready to do it.

I don't see why it would be different. In the 05 MRs, we just switched top to bottom - no kit required - very easy.

swapping is easy and you dont need extra parts. all the parts you need are there.

take off the knobs of the HVAC
take off the gray moulding around them
unscrew the radio holder
unscrew the 2 screws below the sport meter kit and take the cover off
make sure you have the corresponding power lines tagged and marked before you swap them
swap the two
put everything back

it actually took about 7 mins for me, and thats having no experience taking the thing off. i think someone did a write up for this but i cant remember who.

Yes, it works in the IX MR. I just completed the swap & it worked perfectly! It took me about 20 min.

did mine too, had a tough time lining up the radio to fit right but got it eventually.

I just did mine yesterday I have an 06 IX RS. The interior isnt much different. It was done within 30min. It fits perfectly.
