i am installing an alpine haed unit (cda 9830) and my subs into my evo. i have eveything ok and ready to go but i cant figure out where the remote power cable for the amp should go into the alpine harness. please some one help.

 

Isn't it normally a blue wire? If you have a voltmeter you could find it easily. Maybe the HU instructions could shed some light on this.

 

it is either a solid blue or a blue with white stripe for remote turn on for the amp.

 

On mine it was a blue and black wire with a white tag that said REM. It should say it on the wire itself as well.

 

Almost always its a blue wire, could range from light blue to dark blue with the wite stripe. Just a 12v signal. Go to walmart and buy a voltmeter for 10-15$, You will use it again.
