Anything the officer who wrote the ticket felt was unsafe for the current conditions.

I've gotten nailed on that one before.

Improper Driving and unsafe start/stop are all up to the officers discretion.

Wrekless driving is a 2 point and a misdeminor. Improper drving will only be a 1 point and if your good can prob get out of it.

What exactly did you do to get the ticket?

a light turned yellow and i htogh i could make it, when it turned red i locked up the brakes to keep from crossing into the intersection.

he wrote me up for unsafe start or stop, when the he told the judge the exact same thing and i explained i felt if was safer than running the light he dismissed it with a 10 court security fee i happily paid.

I've gotten a careless driving ticket because the officer 'thought' i was doing 'about' 75 in a 55

it was only 76 bucks but still

Glad you went to court, seems like a stretch for the officer to write that one. Unless you were locked up and sliding sideways past the line, that is. Easy excuse to pull you over to make sure you weren't drunk, revoked, etc. He should have given you a warning. Some cops should have pursued careers as novelists, they just love to write.

If you drive to attract attention to yourself or operate your car as to destract, startle, or frighten other motorist or people. As if the big wing isnt enough. Just be careful out there.
