I remember when I launched for the first time in my evo. It's like a amusement park ride. I come from a past of owning FWD cars which on launch you wouldn't have any traction. I cant see myself going back to anything other then an AWD car.

thats an awesome story.....i remember the first time i launched mine, i almost pooped myself. it was the first awd launch i've ever been in, let alone done. so i really didnt know what to expect. i gives you that warm muschy feeling inside, like your head is gonna hit the back window.

+1 - same experience for me, and because of that I have avoided the temptation to launch the Evo. How often do you guys do this (stock clutch)?

First time I did it I heard my blow off valve go off. After that I've never heard the blow off valve ever again. But then, after that I've never drive the car above 4.5k RPM.

I'm wondering if I dropped something somewhere along the road.
