I'd like to know that too. Once i get this new job, and i see i'm making enough money, i'd rather buy an 05 mostly because i'd rather have the traditional 4G63 motor rather than the Mivec.

if you're very serious about one then ask a dealer to make a search and put down a deposit, they might have to bring it from the other side of the country but if you really want an 05 then its worth it

has about 234 miles on it, and I think thats the best you could find.
Good luck with your search.

The Mivec ARE a lot faster and do make sweet whp with a few bolt-on's, but how reliable are they? The old 4G63 have been around since the 1st gen Eclipse and i believe Galant-VR4, i'm just not sure about the new Mivec reliability. I could be wrong, they might be just as good, if not better. Ontop of that, i didn't do too much reading on the IX's.

Another thing is, VIII should be cheaper

i wouldn't be so worried about mivec. its been around for a while, its just the first time on the evo. and i'm sure you can find new 05's still - just gotta walk the internet.

The MIVEC does help but its not responsible for the all the power gains, 90% of the power improvement is from the turbo....
