Rear Wiper

Looking at all the pictures of the LHD EvoVIIs, I am getting the impression that the US model will also not have the rear wiper. Why, Mitsubishi, why! Is it so much to ask for a car that has rear wipers?

Good catch. Is the wiper really necessary? They can remove anything unnecesary in my mind.....anything to lower the price!

I'd take it! Probably need it for rallying. I'm sure dirt will cover the back.

Umm... that's because all the LHD EVOVII's you see are non-GSR's. Only the GSR has rear wipers and the GSR only comes in RHD.

Hey if an AT is an option maybe a rear wiper will be standard?

Dave Buschur ordered his old AWD Talon with no rear wiper and manual windows to save weight. Good enough for Buschur, good enough for YUO!

buschur also only drives in a straight line in perfect weather and is rear wheel drive only. Doesnt sound anything like a rally car.

Winged Thing

I'll gladly sell that wing off of the EVO that I get. Maybe I can just swap trunklids with some highschool kid's base Lancer.

b_tapper: isn't the subie (not sure about the RS please correct me if im wrong) WRX designed to channel the water off of the windshield etc over the roof and not down the side widows? Probbly why you find the subie without the rear wiper a pain.

On my *cough* tiburon (yeah yeah.. cheap fun tho) Ive never had an instant where my rear window was dirty with road spray/salt/dirt/etc where I needed it cleaned... Perhaps its just a good air flow over the roof of the car...

On the flip side.. my fathers past two cars have been golf's where the rear windshield was allways dirty... but it seemed more of diesel fuel residue... TDI's spit out alot of mess when not properly warmed and after 200K+ Km's

Oh well... With the orginal poster's question/comments... they should offer it *as an option* im sure people wouldn't mind paying a little extra for it...
