How to get a JDM EVO VIII or IX?

I have done a lot of searching and I have even talked to some importers from Canada. But I need to know it there any possible way that you can import a JDM EVO into the US? Not only import one but then use it as a daily driver? This is something that I have been researching and some of the things I have seen are not so clear. On one hand the importation laws soy you cant but they later on say if it has the ability to conform to US standards then they would allow it. So I need some major help on this and be kind to the new guy around here I am a soon to be EVO owner so.

With the right amount of money you can manage to make anything happen. You are definitely going to get flamed. I know for a fact that there are links to a website that imports evos are well as other cars such as skylines to the states in the archives of this forum. I'm not going to search for it though. Good luck getting what you want.

Unless you had money to burn I don't think it would be worth it.

Why do you wanna do this? For all the money you'll end up paying just to get the car to Texas, registered and steet legal, you could have bought and built yourself a 400whp USDM Evo IX.

ok then as far as the whole Super AYC thing. I know I am shooting my self in the foot here by asking this but I am sure you all know of a way to get the AYC and put it on a USDM EVO? As far the compatablity and so on.

Dude...if you aint got money laying around to burn and to waste...its not worth it, by the time you had it imported and and had it legally registered, you could have had a quicker USDM EVO...trusts me man, my home boi told me his friend did it and in the end he could have paid off a car that he could have bought here and had it modded to the full potential!

I believe, at least physically, the yaw control unit would fit on the USDM Evo if you could source a JDM gas tank. That's only half the battle though. You'll have to find a way to hook up the appropriate electronics.

Are you just looking for an Evo with yaw control?

Well yes that is the main reason for wanting a JDM. From all that I have "read" I can tell that it is the end all be all for cornering and control. I was simply asking about the JDM the only perquisite that I wanted is the AYC I don’t care about the JDM I understand that the USDM is comparable and yes I understand that it would require a lot of money but this is why I am asking the more experienced personal bear with the new guy.

I dont think the X will come with AYC or SAWC. They are probably going to water it down like the the evos we have here.

Are you going to road race the car around the track? If not then there is really no benefit.
