need help/info

need help/info

ok well like i said in my intro i'm looking at an 03 evo VIII as one of my next cars but I do not know a lot about them so i have a few questions.



Do the evo 8's have problems with breaking like the DSM's? I keep reading about the stock clutch breaking before 10k miles

How much power will the block take?(searched and there were no repleys)

What kind of power will the stock drive train take? (CV's i'm guessing, clutch, tranny)

Alright, man, I think we told you in the newbie forum, but you are going to HAVE to search before asking all this stuff. Everything you asked can be found easily by searching. Once you have done the forum-mandated searching-before-posting, then come and ask us specifics. You are asking us to do all of this work for you while being completely lazy yourself.

there i searched all my questions and thoes are the only 3 i can't find also whats a RS DV? All the search came up with was BOV's.

That's why you came up with BOVs, because that's what it is. They are the same thing, but technically they are different in that a DV recirculates and a BOV vents to atmosphere:

DV = Diverter Valve = purges boost back into the intake tract (proper for a MAF-equipped car like the Evo)
BOV = Blow-off Valve = purges boost into the atmosphere (not proper)

The Forge RS is a particular model made by Forge that is fully-recirculating, as it should be.
