What do you think?

Well, i have a few questions about installs and times. I have searched, but i cant really find anything related to the stuff that i wanted to find. First off, How much would you expect to pay at an import specialist shop for the installation of the following:

HKS 264 in/ex cams
Fidanza Cam gears set at 0/0 for now
Greddy Profec b Boost controller spec 2
Eibach pro kit
3 gauges (Boost, air fuel, oil pressure)

Ok, now how long do you think it would take if the claim to be working on it "All day everyday" for 10 hours a day.

The reason why i am wondering is because the place has had the car for over a week now, and as the price is going right now, its almost 4500 for the installation of just those. I would have been better off buying a jack and tools and doing it myself. The only reason i let them do it, is because i just moved and dont have the jack/tools/equiptment to do it all.

Just trying to see what everyone thinks. Thanks. Oh, and if you dont have anything to say that wont help, just leave the post.

Holy crap, $4500??????????? That should be like 5-6 hours for everything but the Eibachs (are those just springs?). Even if the total was 10 hours, that should be no more than $800 for labor.

Jesus! Thats a crazy price you should of shopped around first before letting them do the work. Did you supply the parts? Some of that you could've done yourself like the gauges/boost controller and saved a couple of bucks.

sounds like this shop is:

a.not a specialist on Evo/4g63 - Turbo Trix installed more stuff on my Evo plus dyno tuned it only in one day (in 9am out 3pm same day)

b.they charge too much, $4500 is very expensive for all the mods and installation that you listed

did they tell you or suggested those modifications that you listed? I'm not sure if you will get significant, reliable and safe results after everything is done, a lot of things are missing in the sequence and those list of mods doesn't really support each other.

good luck, hope you researched more before you sent your Evo to those fools.

I suggest you expose these fools on this board so others (in your area) will not become another victim of these fools and contact your BBB asap.

No way it should take them that long on top of it. Had the car for over a week, and working on it everyday for 10 hours a day. I would be done there asking them what they are doing wasting my time and money. I just looked at Buschur Racings site for some reference point, they charge $500 for the installion of the same cams and a new intercooler. I don't know what else to say. Sorry!

MAYBE they're planning on decorating your engine bay with diamonds and Titanium plating after the install is done.

If they're doing that, yeh, that's a good price for it.
