purchasing a 9 or have purchased a 9?

I live in the midwest, and I am currently searching for a evo 9. I just sold my 03 ww evo so I can get a 9 and it seems as if Dealers dont give a crap about selling cars. I"m currious to know if any others have experenced this, or what kind of experences you have had purchasing a new 9. I went back to the dealer I bought the first one of off and they didn't seem to really want to deal at all. SInce then I have emailed all the dealerships I could find online with in 3hrs of me telling them what I"m looking for and that I'm ready to buy now with cash in hand. I got 2 responses out of about 8 emails I sent. I called one dealership we talked price a bit, and he said he would run the numbers and get back to me. I still haven't heard a word back and I've even called him back to follow up! I got one email response which I returned an email back, and have not heard a word back?? I just dont get it, I never experenced such crap *** service interms of buying a car. You would think a company in finacial trouble would be interested in any lead that they get.
Anyone else experenced this?

You should just go to the dealer and talk numbers if you can. I've noticed in San Diego, the dealers won't even bother talking to you unless you want to talk numbers first. One dealer blew me off because I wanted to talk it over with my parents, even though it was my money. Lots of them didnt even want to offer me prices better than HB Mitsu gave me... pretty much said "oooh, umm, I dont think we can beat that." I said, "Ok, thanks... bye."

You gotta go in and talk or you won't get anywhere. They figure if you just email or whatever that you aren't serious and that you just want a number so that you can use it to bargain with at another dealership.

They want you in the "dealership" to lock you in, and make the deal. If your not THERE, your not serious. (in their mind) They think you are a snotty nose kid with no money, calling around to get a "test" drive. I can relate to your story. Good luck.

You could always fly to Huntington Beach Mitsu in Cali.

http://snipurl.com/mkc7

Its only 2218 miles from you. At about 20 mpg thats about 110.9 gallons times $2.50 for a gallon (what we pay in Cali) thats about $277.25. Plus a night in a motel along the way, $50? Flight one way from Cincinnati to LAX is $275 with taxes. Shuttle to HB Mitsu is probably $30.

I dunno... just thinking out loud...

+1.
Even dealerships I know won't talk numbers over the phone - it's like they're scared you are recording them or something. I talked my way into a good deal at 2 different local places. Just be serious and tell them you are looking to 'make a move fast'.
