Won't get more than 13k? Are you kidding? Even though the IX is out now and the 05 evos are more favorable than 03s, an 03 with just 26k can still fetch maybe around $22-23k privately.

Nada on your car is around the 25K mark. Id expect around 23K for it. I dont think i would take less than that

It really depends on your location. Somewhere like Southern California it would sell pretty easy. Here in the Southeast it would take some time, I tracked an ad for a evo in the local paper for weeks and I don't know that it ever sold.

depending on your state sales tax, $23K may not be worth the effort to sell it on your own, since you'll be losing the tax break you'd get with a trade-in.

You should give us more details on your car like mileage and stuf so we can tell if the 21k is good or not. If you have 80k miles, then thats a good price and you won't sell it privately. I'm looking for a used Evo to trade for or replace my Mustang so there are definitely people looking for '03's out there.

Since you are in the car business working "F&I" then you should be able to answer your own question.

If you are a green pea then here is my 2 cents:

You will always make more money selling the vehicle private party. However, you will have to deal with "jack-offs", "lookie lous", "lowballers", "mouches", "tire-kickers", etc. Is it worth the extra dough to deal with this? Maybe, maybe not.

Check with your sales manager and see if he will let you sell the car "on the arm".

Be sure to disclose the fact that the vehicle was involved in an accident.
