Having a hard time getting an answer from a vendor but whatever....

I have an 06 MR and I want to know if the $699 headlights will work with it since the stock lights are HID....

I see an "HID Specific" set for $1799...Don't see it worth almost $2K for headlights...But I dunno.

Any help is appreciated as I would like to purchase soon.

it'll fit, but the wiring is prolly different with the ballasts and all, and you might lose the fogs. i'd just have someone do a blackout on it

Are you talking about the ones on Gruppe-S's site? I would just keep the Stock ones...They are already Black Chrome with HID and Fog. No need to change to JDMs. Reason the Are almost 2k is I think they come with the HID kits also.

 

Yes they will work fine...Just unplug the bulb and pull the ballast wires out fo the OE headlight...do the same thing in reverse to the JDM one.
I have them on mine..DO not buy the FULL HID version unless you plan on sellingyour STocks...Is pretty simple.Everything works the same on each...though there are some things thatlook diffrent but ALL WORKS greaton mine.

For the Fog's you will need a Diffrent bulb the USDM.Z1auto sells the harness to splice into your Wires to use the new bulbs you will need.
I think US are H11 and the JDM's are H3

 

I am not sure what the HID kit is like on the 06. But if its exactly like the 03 ones then yes it will work no problem from my understanding. You weill need a 9006 connector to make the fogs work properly. Its quite simple to make it work. If you have anymore questions feel free to PM me or IM me at SteveEvo8.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I just want the JDM lights for the stupid amber at the bottom. I know...**** about some things. I have the JDM tails...Just want to match the fronts.
