I dispise people who do that to cars... people love those things and to be either jealous or retarded and key a car is plain wrong.

I actually took my EVO to a nightclub tonight and parked it in the parking lot. The neighborhood wasnt really that great and there were Honda/Acura ricers zooming by back and forth all night long. I was kinda worried but decided to park with in sight distance of the club. My girls roomate parked next to me, which was 1 less worry of getting dinged since she knows how I am with my car. When I came out I saw a wanna be racer Accord with a crooked exhaust, and it wasnt even an N1, parked next to me. When I took the car out I did a nice walk around inspection and everything was intact....

I was lucky this time around, but then again there are times when people will have to park next to you due to space limitations....you just have to cross your fingers and hope for the best

my evo recently got keyed also. I was told by my insurance company that my rates would not go up because it was "vandalism". Mitsu dealer i work at quoted me around 650 for respray of the keyed two passenger doors; along with the front fender and rear quarterpanel to blend (reds are touchy). I am waiting for sh|tty wisconsin weather to pass then i will get it resprayed. Mentioning weather its at -20 degress now, no joke

sorry man, I learned never to park "way out there", b/c everyone can see your car, haters and admirers. I'd rather take my chance of getting bumped by finding a slot to "hide" in between SUV's and trucks and in packs of parked cars. My car got vandalized once being "way out there" in a parking lot. I'll never ever do it again.

yeah I park with every body else also, i just look for a spot with lots of room and nice cars on either side. stay away from vans and cars that look like they have kids. my 8 year old son is notorious for swinging open the van door not being carefull of the car next to us. I yell at him just about every time we get out of the car.

Maybe twenty years from now when he has his new Mercedes at the mall his past actions will terrorize and eat at his brain. It will only be a matter of time.

I think these guys are proud of the cars they have damaged. The newer, more expensive, more desirable it is, the bigger the thrill. I think it is lake tagging only in a perverted sense. It's just little male monkeys "marking" their territory.

I was recently at jury duty and when the judge began questioning each individual about whether a crime had ever been committed against them and no one even mentioned car break-ins or car vandalism (except me, that's all I got). They all started out with telling of their home being broken into, boyfriend burning their house down, robbery at gunpoint, rape, molestation, etc. There is so much crap going on that these people didn't bother with the "little stuff". I don't think vandalism registered as a "crime" considering all else and that most everyone has had a car broken into or keyed at some point.
