Comming from a DSM's there was a method and an order to modding your car to extract power and I believe the same involves the Evo. Without these mods in place 1st, the others would be essentially a waste and possible make your car run even worse or be cancelled out because of other restrictions. My personal moddo is to simply work from outward in, meaning the beginning of the intake and the exhaust tip to of course a fully built motor and head porting.
Essential Mods such as these I believe should be the 1st on the list of ANY Evo or DSM.

Alone these mods add 50-80WHP, offer the minimal investment with the maximum results, but I think now that a new device should be added to the Mix.
We added ease of breathing, more volume for air, a stronger platform to channel the power, and the tuning to hold it all together, but one item appears to be missing from this list.
HKS Twin Power Ignition Amplifier or possibly the Turbo XS variant. It has shown to allow maximum timing and proper ignition not to mention faster spoolup. This unit is shown to work with 30+ PSI and 600WHP so I can't immagine why anyone wouldn't get one off the bat to ensure the proper mix of Air and Fuel. I would immagine it would add significant torque down low and even contribute to gas milage if tuned properly.
Anyone have this unit and know the cheapest place to get one? It is next on my mod list and I wish it was amoung my 1st.
