intake

I've put on my turbo-back, and I just did my intake.
The car ran like it did before, this should be alright until I get my flash right?
Or do you guys think I should go back to stock with the intake and wait for flash?
I know it will run rich also without flash. how much tho?

Get it done as soon as you can. It will make nice gains once its tuned. I had to get my car tuned right after my Blitz intake install, car ran like crap above 4,000rpm.

First of all if you didnt know evos out the box come rich lets get that out the way.

Second you dont need a flash for thouse 2 mods its not worth spending the money the only good thing out the flash you would get is no more fuel cut , bring revlimiter higher, without a wideband you cant really tune a car as far as the afr go and i assume that there is not a place within driveing range to get your car flashed that means you would have to mail it in down fall about that is your car wont be running rich anymore yes but it will be more lean every car is diff. So if i where you stick with what you got for know till your ready to drop some really money on the car with more power mods. And your car runs better with them 2 mods you just dont notice it yet.

thanks for the info, but I don't think I'm going to run cams or gears only
ex. manifold, TBE -catless, o2 housing, intake, and 22 pounds.

you don't recommand mail in ECU option? I have access to a AWD dyno doing testing for him, so I get free pulls. I'm waiting on COBB to come out with a access port for Evo ( maybe withen the year) so I'm looking for a cheap solution.

btw, I knew evo ran rich. I do know how to read

Bill, I would stick with the stock intake for now. Just put that back on, if you haven't already. Then, send your ECU into Dynoflash for a mail-in flash. This will work quite well for whatever combo of mods you have. Most people have heard it 1000 times, but since you probably haven't, be aware that I ran 12.26 on 93oct with my mail-in Dynoflash, so I can attest that they work quite well. This was before my sponsorship, so my mail-in flash wasn't special or anything.

You will enjoy the smoother power, the higher torque and WHP throughout the powerband, and the great features that go along with it. I highly recommend it - it's the best $200 you'll spend. Then, when the AccessPort comes out, you will be able to go back to Al to get that tuned as well, since he has the ProTuner.
