Has anybody driven both a an Evo 8 and Evo 9.....On the IX the clutch kinda feels soft and not as stiff as the 8. Also the gearbox also doesnt seem as stiff as the eight. Should i get this checked out or does other people noticed this too.

 

The OEM clutches are the same. The IXs that I have driven feel comparable to the newer VIIIs.

 

i drove and evo 8 same as mine and the clutch did feel different.... and then i drove an evo 9.. which felt just like my stock one... i guess every car is just set differently..

 

I dunno two evo 8 owners notice the diffrence on two diffrent evo 9's

 

04 VIII was DEFINTATELY harder to push down than my IX.

 

I drove a 9 for a week and if you pushed the clutch to the floor when shifting it would buck a little, with my 8 it doesn't do that hard to say if it was the pedal setting or if there is a difference in the clutch both cars had less then 10 miles so it wasn't a break in issue.

 

the only difference i felt between my 03 and my 06 IX was the pedal pressure felt softer on the IX. i removed the pill and put a ss line on the IX the other day and now it feels GREAT
