"Service Engine soon" is on.
after install the FMIC/LICP/TBE and also the radio...somehow now there's no light on the radio and clock. I drove the car for couple miles the the Service Engine light went on..I think i did the wiring wrong so it got messed up...Do i need to take this to dealership or is there a way to solve this problem?
and the radio, alarm system, powerlock are not working either.
did i burn some fuses?
anyone got any ideas?
thanks in advance.

so your saying anytime a cel is showing up, dont fix a prob, just pull the bat. cable, and mask the problem..

Its def. the fuses. My friend had the clock and radio go on him. Its in the fusebox under the hood. When you open it up, check the diagram, its one on the fuses that are in the yellow thing in there. You'll see what i mean when you see the fuse layout. I believe its a red fuse. Just get mini-blade fuses from walmart or something.
But before that, find out what caused the short, most likely the wiring of the new radio....make sure its right, otherwise itll keep blowing the fuse.
EDIT: The wiring def. blew the fuse, because none of the other things are electronic related. As far as throwing a CEL...Im not sure if the bad wiring on the stereo can do that. Id say to check the connections and seals on the exhaust. Thats most likely where it is. If you cant figure it out, bring it to Autozone, and have them pull the code...thatll pinpoint it

I agree with them about the wiring, but your CEL is on b/c of the TBE if you are running a test pipe. You'll need the adapter (forgot exactly what its called, too late to think) to make that light go away, no matter how many times you reset the battery or get it cleared by let's say AutoZone, it won't go away, trust me I know, mine came on about 20 min after I put my test pipe in...happens to everyone. Good luck!
I dont think the test pipe thought. I drove the car for almost a day after the installlation was done and I tried to mess around with the radio then 20mins later the CEL went on..
if it was the test pipe causing the problem then how can i solve it? what kind of adapter and where to get them?

I didn't even know that a blown fuse could cause the CEL showing.
in the search function here look up cel eliminator.. youll find many cures, all work, and range from cheap to expensive.. im sure you prob have a short or bare wire.. find it, and replace the fuse before you burn the car..
if you think the cel is caused by the fuse blowing then take it and get the code pulled... which is something that should be done anyways, contrary to another poster on here..

the fuse is the RED 10Amp fuse in position #23 under the hood
im not sure if a blown fuse can cause a CEL....maybe you have a pos. and neg wires touching or something. Otherwise id say theyre completely unrelated and the exhause or test pipe is throwing the CEL.
But like i said...make sure that wiring is right, otherwise youll blow the new fuse too
