front seat tearing issue

So my 03 evo has 15352 miles on it, and this is what the front driver seat is doing. The material has actually been rubbed through to the cushion. I took it to Medina Mitsubishi, who says they have to send pics of it to the rep to decide whether or not it's covered. Now, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt, but doesn't a 3 yr/ 36k mile bumper to bumper warranty include the seats? I should know by Friday. Interestingly enough, the first question I was asked, "So do you have any mods done to the car?" I'm hoping it's just a formality and there will be no obstacles to having it fixed. I'll keep you posted.

That's on the outside of the seat. Maybe you should just be a little more careful getting in and out. Or go on a diet...

Well I just got word today that the rep agreed to replace the seat. The warranty price is $1800 for the seat back. So my faith is restored in both Mitsu and Medina Mitsu. As for tony b, thanks for picking on the "fat" kid.

Wow, that's pretty nice. Can't they just replace just the fabric on the seat instead of the whole seat? That $1800 price is kind of rediculous. My buddy got the leather replaced on his vette thru his warranty, the dealer got an upholstery guy from a local shop to do it.

weather ur car is modded or not the seats have nothing to do with it.

print this out and use it against them if they tell u that moding ur car has anything to do with the seats ripping.

Thats awesome to her that they are going to replace it for you. After all the warranty horror stories, it's good to see it work out!
I wasn't picking on you either, just joking around. Hence the = .
I'm new here and not looking to make any enemies... yet.

Your car is filthy. But definatly just be more careful getting in and out. Mitsu is prolly going to deni because of "wear and tear."

Oh and never get leather seats in your life.
