radio relocation

i know many people are going to disagree but i just want a yes or no. Can this portion of the ac be taken out, cut whatever for a radio relocation. Im thinking from the left side of the ac vent over to the end of the clock it is exackly the right side for a radio to fit into. Any one know if this can be done?

It would have to be a custom job. Anything can be done with the right amount of cash.

I don't think it matters what is behind there, what matters is finding a spot to mount the flipscreen frame to. IMO, that will just look weird. Another option is to get the A pillar mounts, and the steering column mounts for guages. That will free up the center for your screen.

Oh yeah...that kind of modification will reduce the resale price.

experiment with the position you want. meaning, remove the dash piece along with the bezel surrounding the clock and ac vents, get an in-depth look if the in-dash unit can fit with whatever space is available behind there. i there's no space, then get ready to spend some $$$ on custom work. if there's space, make some brackets and you good to go or check out your local custom work shops if they can do it. but you should really think about re-routing the air path to that ac vent...maybe merge it to the right side

I would have to go with the A pillar option. I think it would be a pretty cool custom job and might look cool as hell, but it is not something that I would want to do. I don't think I would want to break my dash down like that. Just my .02$ though.
