I was in Colorado this passed weekend snowboarding and while driving to Brek and Keystone, my EGT temp dropped all the down to about 590 degrees. Very cold. I was going about 80 mph down hill when the temp dropped that low. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

 

can't answer your question but i can tell you that breck and keystone suck. try copper, WP, steamboat, etc. next time.

 

We are already planning that for next year. We went to Breck on Friday because there was nobody there. It was pretty good. The reason we went to Breck and Keystone was becasue my buddy has a season pass for Summit County and I just did the two day buddy pass. He said next year he is getting the other season pass for Copper, WP, and Steamboat.

 

Yup.

Not many people realize that there is no fuel injected when you are coasting in gear (engine braking), so on a long down hill coast your EGT's will just keep droping until you have to get on the accelerator again.

Thanks. I figured there was nothing wrong with it. Just wondered if anyone else had the same happen to them.

I figured that it would be better for it. Lower temps usually means better hp #'s.
