Was this the evo stolen that they thought was an inside job? This begs the question how does someone make such a poor attempt at gutting it, and yet be able to steal the car??? I was under the impression that these are not easy cars to steal?

On a side note: back in high school I heard through the grapevine of a kid who would go to chevy lots and steal the wheels off ZO6's and leave them on the pavement. I don't think he ever got caught.

If I new they were going to do that, I would have had some "xtra" parts before they took it!

I agree 100%. The owner pleaded with them to but it back, but they wouldn't have none of that!

Just give me the name and address of the junkyard they're towing it to and I might be able to pull something

It seems really stupid that the insurance company would say nope we want just crush and get 100 bucks fo scrap instead of selling and making a sh#t load more. If you know who the insurance company is I would try them direct. Maybe they didn't want to sell it back to dealer because it was a "inside job"?
