Thumbs down Bad vendors. Customers be aware!!

Hi,

I really did not want to have to come here and tell my history but at this point there is no way back. Keep in mind that I wouldn't name the vendors name yet.

Almost 60 days ago I found a vendor on the website that sells parts for the Evo. I was looking specifically for a HKS DLI II. This vendor had this item advertized for much much cheaper price than any other vendor on this forum.

I spent a few days calling and comparing prices until I decided to order the HKS DLI II from this vendor. The price was advertized for only $419 and it was not mentioned at any given time that this part was back ordered(not available).

This vendor's website should have had a note saying product unavailable and off course it should give you a realistic price. When I decided to order the item I entered all my Credit card information and the menu showed a final price of $419.

I agreed to purchase the item at the advertize price($419), the shoping cart showed a total price of $419 but when I clicked "OK" the price went up significantly high for tax and shipping.

My bill now was higher than other vendors same product. The bad thing is that I couldn't go back and change the numbers or options.

My credit card was charged almost inmediately. One week past and I did not get the item, two weeks waiting and no item yet.

On the third week I contacted the vendor via e-mail and he tells me that the product is back order. I was pissed because would I have known that and I wouldn't order from this vendor.

Another week past and I contacted the vendor to find out when the part is arriving, he mentions that at the end of the month(Feb). At this point(after waiting for over a month) I informed him via e-mail that I no longer want the product and to please refund my credit.

A few days past and no response. Finally he respond and tells me that the part might arrive soon. I responded again and inisist that I need credit card refund.

A few days past and he responded me via e-mail that my credit card is not accepting his refund, he claims that perhaps my credit card is not working well.
I have been using my credit card fine almost everyday,( I had a refund from Wall mart for purchasing broken plates in a box). I called my bank and the bank tells me that my credit card will never refuse credit from any company and off course the bank tells me that the credit card works fine.

To round things up and coincidently I am a customer of the bank were my Evolady works for over 5 years actually on the credit card dispute department as supervisor, now I know the vendor is full of brown up to his ears!!

I contacted the vendor via e-mail and gave him an ultimatum to deposit my money by X day. The vendor takes again a few days to respond. The X day past and no answer or credit is refunded. I sent a last e-mail letting him know that I will dispute my credit card purchase with my bank credit card department.

The vendor sends me a e-mail saying that the refund is on the way but it will take two more days.

I haven't received my refund and I am really feed up and disapointed about this whole thing. My credit card dispute paperwork is on the table and ready to be filed.

Summarizing, if you are vendor I just want to politely remind you that you must maintain an efective customer service and you must have integrity.
The false advertizing or misleading information can affect the customer and ultimately your business.

I am not here to trash any vendor for no reason, you heard my history and I am not making this up. I was hoping to get my part a long time ago and at the end not only I don't have my part but also I don't even have my money which was charged almost 2 months ago(since day one), not to mention all this hassle.

There are excellent customers out there like me that really want to buy parts from you, I am very understanding I can wait for a reasonable time to get the part but please don't Bull$hit the customer, we give you the business, the good or the bad reputation will hurt you or launch you to sucess, just keep that in mind.

If you have any comments I will be more than glad to hear from you and I hope we all build a good vendor /customer bond on this forum.

My .2c

Thanks

Extremely reasonable post. I'd say go ahead and send the charge dispute paper... the vendor will get paperwork from the credit company giving them an absolute date and info or the money will be taken out of their processing account and you'll be reimbursed. Sorry if that doesn't make sense or if I didn't say it correctly, but if you send that in then you should be taken care of one way or another...

This situation is a split image of the past situation I had to educate people on. This is what happens when passive people dont do anything when they assume the vendor will step up and do somehting. I have said this time and time again and this is what happens when you dont do anythign about it.

FROMWRXTOEVO, I would encourage you to disclose the vendors name and person whom you spoke to. Credit overcharging/fraud/or refusal to refund is a crime! I already had to help someone that had a very similar situation you did and his vendor problem was from group s. I hope its not the same vendor. Also I would encourage you write a letter and file a complaint to the BBB about exactly what happened. I would also encourage you to talk to an attorney if your refund doesnt show up in 48hrs.

Anyhow please keep us informed of what happens. I am so sorry that this happened to you.

Thanks for the support !! The reason why I haven''t release the name of the vendor yet is because I am hours away from the last promise he made.

I should have my money by tomorrow, if not then I will release the information including copy and paste of my e-mails and scan info from when my account was charged.

So far this forum has good vendors for the most part and I am one of the ones that l point that out. Regardless of if I get my credit back or not just the hassle of going through this deal justify me writing on this forum. Having to wait about 55 days is not something I expect from any vendor on this forum.

Finally we can put SKILMATIC to work on a vendor that really deserves it.

I wouldn't hold anything back.. that's 100% bad biz. Don't wait for anything just go head with your claim. I'm sure we can look around in the for sale forums and figure this one out pretty quick.

^^ Just reading your thread and feeling bummed for you.

Completely OT, but I'm having avionics issues and need help. I think my big problem will go away tomorrow with an avionics specialist.

Hopefully your problem will be cleared up tomorrow too. Good luck.
