Tax refund? You mean an interest free loan to the gov't? I always like to owe a little bit.

 

EXACTLY! I'm happy when I have a small return, in fact my goal is to get as close to 0 back on my return as possible. I only get back a measly $265 this year, but that means I was able to spend (or invest) the money they didn't take during the year instead of letting the government do it and reap the benefits for themselves.

 

had it not gone to the government for the year, surely i would not have saved that extra amount, so being forced to save (albeit interest free), works better for me.

 

Yeah... I've trained my self to not think about it through the year, and then enjoy the spring. It's nice "forced savings"... and I don't mind hookin' the gov. up a little... but I'd appreciate some better roads to drive on!

 

Muellerized suspension and a tune. If there's anything left over, I'll buy my girl an icecream cone.
