front 02 sensor wrench size? need quick!

I'm trying to get it out.

questions:

1. what's the wrench size for the FRONT 02 sensor bung?

2. best way to get them out? Since upper part of the 02 sensor is buried under the manifold.

Thanks. Need some quick answer.

22MM wrench, but the best and easiest way to remove is with an o2 sensor socket

Roger that, it is a 22mm. The Downpipe bolts are 14mm. Whenever you get the 02 sensor out clean the thread very well and apply an antirust catalyst, it is normally a product gray in color that looks like butter.

As silly as might sound just a reminder that almost 100% of the Japonese car use Metric system, don't be surprise if you got all the brand new tools from Autozone and find out that they don't work on your car.

Good luck on that

hey, thanks.

But I've actually figured it out. I called few shops around.

7/8th is the size for the 02 sensor which is roughly 22mm.

It was just about the most difficult thing to get it to turn.

What is the 02 sensor socket are you talking about?

Is it different than any conventinal socket?

We pulled the radiator out and practically took everything out to get to the 02 sensor and turn the bolt.

At least I know what to do if this ever happens to my car. This is happening to my friends evo.

thanks.

10mm socket is a must for evo's by the way. Let me add this on there for later when people needs it.

o2 sensor socket looks like this and would have saved you a bunch of time.

The size is 22mm, not 7/8th. Is a japanesse car, it uses ALL METRIC.
