Transmission

A friend of mine, has recently purchased his EVO VIII.. He has about 750 miles on it now, and I have about 1300... His transmissions has started to suddenly grind everytime he goes into 5th gear, and occasionally in 3rd.... I have never had 1 single problem with mine...

Is anybody out there grinding as well? He's bringing it back to Mits today for repairs...

My brother's having the same problem in 5th gear. You CANNOT shift fast either, you have to go over carefully and slowly. What's up with that? I shifted between 4th and 5th a few times to make sure I was shifting properly, and 5th was still grinding. Then I started smelling burnt clutch. What a disappointment. What thread is this problem being discussed in, cuz I can't find anything related.
