Hard Driving after the 600 mile break in

Well at exactly 600 miles, I changed the oil and filter and then proceeded to start driving pretty hard soon after. No drag racing or anything like that. Just on tight and twisty roads with alot of heel toe, high rev matching, and hard turns. The motor is hitting 6500 rpm fairly often. The Evo is my toy car so it doesnt' get any regular normal use. Just hard driving whenever I take it out. Have you guys been taking it easy on the car or are you driving it like how it was mean to be driven? I don't think mine will last too long if I keep this up.

i started driving mine hard at 200 miles. pedals are perfect for heel and toe! I have not had any problems other than it is fairly quiet and I am at the redline without really knowing it. i did get it up to 140mph going up hill yesterday on the PA turnpike.

Overall, it is a pretty decent car. Hopefully all the weight won't mess it up too much at the track. I am planning to go as soon as I get some decent brake pads.

I agree about the heel-toeing; the pedals make it an act as easy as breathing even with my big feet (size 13). Only 450mi on mine so far so nothing over 5k yet, but I've been boosting all to hell; it's just too hard to resist.

Sorry the other picture in this relatively old thread is broken at the moment and the only picture that was not broken is sort of dark but here you go, dartman.

I notice the 7-esque 'Evolution' on the tail too. Where'd you pick that up from? Looks nice!

It's not a VII....it's an VIII with the "EVOLUTION" badge and tail lights from a VII. It's dilow's car.
