You're surprised? How do you know the person you sold them to isn't pulling a fast one and trying to replace his cracked light for free? How does the vendor know that you're not doing the same? If I was in the same position as the vendor then you would have got the same reply from me. 3 months is way too long to report something as damaged and expect a refund; it could have been on your car for 3 months for all the vendor knows.
