Safety Precautions for My MODS *read please*
Ok heres the deal. After doing some research and getting my mods here and on the way....I'm not looking for like Ultimate Blow your motor power (even though I know it could blow STock) but def do want to be faster than stock but keep it Undercontrol.
1st off are the mods.
I have (not installed):
MR BOV,HKS RS,Burschur SCCA/magnaflow exh,Helix DP,UR Test pipe (Defi BF Boost & Oil press gauges
Purchasing:
Blitz SBC I-D EBC,HPfreaks LICP,Walbro & a Dynoflash Mail in or if I'm lucky a Custom tune by him or Jestrtuning - (DYno tune)
My Idea is to hopefully be able to monitor the litle issues that we all know can happen.
I have the Boost and oil Pressure (a given w/ any turbo car next to EGT) but also plan to get the AEM UEGO wideband gauge (for monitoring, not so much tuning) for the "ever unpredictable" AF's that come from a Mail-in flash or Tune.
DEFI BF Fuel pressue gauge to monitor the Walbro - reason being is I hear they are great and all but have friends that can't stand em and say the "take a $h*t on you" every now and then. After reading on them ALOT of people swear by them. You never know right.
Now as you can see My mods, they are Pretty damn conservative compared to most.I'm not looking to do Cams yet or Alky...maybe a Hotside down the road but will prob end up trading on a IX if I get to that point honestly.
Does this seem to take it too far or there really is not "too far" when it comes to your motor espicaly w/ "tunning"?
I don't know what I could put down w/ those mods...but 300awhp is kinda waht I'm shooting for on a conservative tune.
Feel free to break me down.

uhm... what is your question?
are you asking is that power level safe on what you have which is stock bottom?
are you asking if mail in flashes are safe?
are you asking if you should this or that in addition?
are you asking what you should log and what safety features you should have in your tune?
get a custom tune, mail in is dumb and lazy nad is just a way for someone to make money off you without putting in a ton of righteous time.
your mods are conservative, i'd say you could run them in an endurance race with a proper tune and have nothing to worry about. there's also nothing wrong with cams and if you want safety alchohol injection is possibly the worst thing you can put on your list (not that it's on your list).
do you have enough gauges? yeah, are they set at the right warnings? i don't know, which means they could be buttfreakin' useless cuz they're not tellin' you **** about when things are gonna pop. the whole point of gauges is warning lights cuz you don't have enough eyeballs.
if you wanna be more ****... after you get tuned log (by what means i don't know, whichever you find available to you) everything you can about full throttle and partial throttle pulls around everywhere you live, effectively checking the road tune and see if your afrs etc stay "safe"
this is also one of the reasons why i wouldn't recommend people going about and buying gauges and stuff impromptu, the function of the gauges you have is specific... warning features, but if you got something like the zeitronix then you'd have another set of parameters you could log
oh i forgot one thing, water temperature is most overlooked but is most useful temperature in teh engine bay. it's faster responding than oil temp and will quickly tell you if your **** is gonna blow.

EGT gauge and wideband should be plenty to monitor your engine activities.
if you go a bit further, you could get a knock sensor and data logger (pocketlogger.com or few other options out there)
Those mods are pretty standard now these days. Matter of fact, I don't see anyone who doesn't have TBE, MBC, Intake, Fuel pump and tune in my area.
let me make it easy to read:
tbe, intake, better bov, ebc, lower IC pipe, fuel pump and a flash.
at what boost? i don't know...
Bigger injectors maybe help down the line.

Yeah the question was a little open ended...but tryin to run a conservative 20psi maybe 21 but just wondering if that was overboard or a Decent thing to do.
Cams may come in the long run but for now this is all I plan to run.
Custom tune is what I want but trying to get someone here to get one so I'll have to wait on that.

trust me what you are doing is totally conservative. lol. there is nothing fancy smancy or anything ridiculous that you are doing. From what i see, your in stage 1. something that everyone that has an evo pretty much does. so yea.
