I have to recheck my manual but I thought the clutch is not covered. I didn't see anything that said first 12K miles but maybe I didn't read it very well.

what's the first thing I said? read the warranty. I'm not a fan boy and do read everything that comes with the car when I get it. it states in the list of parts not covered under wear and tear the parts I mentioned in the post. Of coarse the techs are going to be subjective some have had it replaced others haven't there are numerous threads on here about this if they think you beat on it doesn't matter what you say they won't do it saves them time and money by placing the blame.

let your clutch go out and see if mitsu covers it... you may have been a tech at one mitsu dealership, all dealerships are not equal. i guarantee if you are trying to get your clutch replaced thru warranty, 9 times out of 10 the first words you are going to hear are i'm going to have to call the district manager. they can always find a way to say the clutch was mistreated. if you have even one mod on your car they are going to void it. im very sure the 100's of people on this forum who have posted about this saying that mitsu voided there warranty for the clutch arent wrong. i guess though, i am just posting what i think, and not from any kind of research or fact. anyone knows that warranty book and service manual are guidelines and are not gospel.

I recall a post recently of Mitsu having a "Higher performance clutch" - Someone was kind enough to post the part # 4-8 weeks ago - run a search and maybe you'll be lucky! Good luck with it.
