Keeping exhaust tip clean

i have the RSR Exmag catback system with the polished tip... i don't see how people keep that so clean.. i am running catless and the tip gets really dirty no matter what i do.. the tip is starting to turn brown... would getting an exhaust heat shield help... any comments or suggestions would be appreciated!

The one's who keep it clean don't drive it! Keeping it clean is a hopeless cause. You can try and try but it will keep coming back.

the exhaust heat shield just protects you bumper around the exhaust tip... I thought...i was running rich and my tip got almost solid black and i kinda like it that way so i just leave it

If you can get it tuned it will make a big difference. From the factory they run super rich. But even with tuning it still happens. I just try to clean it twice a week.

I gave up on trying to keep mine clean. Its basically black now, but it doesnt look too bad.

Yep driving more than a year catless with make it real nasty. I just cleaned my exhaust with wd-40 yesterday, cleans and protects.
