Why do alot of members on this forum feel the need to "defend" the Evo from what other car forums say about it?

Don't you guys get that the vast majority of these threads are intended just to stir sh*t and are usually started by some other cars fan boy that has no idea what he is talking about (yes, we have our share of them as well)? Yet people bite every time.

I drive an Evo because for my money it is the right car for me. I don't give a sh*t what people driving other cars really think about it. Come to think of it I really don't care what people that drive the same type of car think of it.

I'm just amazed at the "mine is better than yours" five year old mentality that seems to run rampant when ever sh*t like this is brought up. I guess I shouldn't be. Maybe I'm just getting old but I really don't see the point of arguing and talking trash with someone over something so stupid.

I understand that people are proud of their cars but, this is like trying to convince every Iraqi citizen that we are trying to help them. Alot of them get it and you never see or hear them but, there are some that you will never reach, they will always hate you for no real reason and those are the ones you see and hear.

Yeah, that's what I figured but I thought most of us men out grew that once we got a real job and responsibilities. Guess not.
