Are Tenzo wheels any good?

more than likely the cheaper the wheel the less went in to it to make it a good wheel IMO

I guess the struggle for some of us is that you just bought a $36-38K car - buy a good set of wheels.

and thats the same way i feel about it, the car is heavier and has a little more umph than your average car with tenzos. just doesnt seem right to put a low quality wheel on a great performance car like the evo.

I have actually owned a set of rays engineering rims, very nicely made and what not, i had them on my rsx, i hit a pothole going about 60 and those suckers bent. just because they cost more then rotas or tenzos doesnt mean their 100% more durable. i actually hate having the having the bad *** rims i mean they look good and stuff but im always affraid while getting the tires changed that one of those grease monkey morons will sratch em up. its actually happened with my rays. so a less expensive rim i wouldnt be as heart broken about. but you know everyone has a different opinion.
well, you have to be careful with these wheels anyway. I mean, the same carelessness will mark the cheaper rims as well and they both witll cost you almost the same to repair.
as I said, you can't make wheels that are indesructible.

if they were tenzos or another cheaply made rim instead of bending them it could have broke them, thats what we are trying to say. and it may not have but i wouldnt want to test that theory out, especially with an evo
Call me ghetto or whatever, but I've always purchased low budget rims per say, and haven't once come into the problem of them breaking. I've had friends bend rims sure...even with their Volks, but me personally having had Velox, ADR, and TSW in the past, as well as having a friend with Tenzos, I haven't seen any major issues that anyone wouldn't normally have if coming across a pot hole or somethin'.
Sorry, my Evo was used and it's not a $30K vehicle, more like low 20's maybe. I'm not ballin' like some of you's, and don't have the luxury of going for the "high class" rims. I have other priorities in my life with my home, wife, and 2 kids to tend to, than purchasing $3K rims for so called more "quality". However, I do like my Evo to look good, and would like rims eventually. Whatever rim looks good to me, I'm going for. I can't afford to shop for just the name brand like ya'll. More power to you.
I am looking at some Work rims now, but only cause they're a great deal. I haven't seen any great deal (less than $1500 for 18's) for Volk rims unless maybe used.

Let me make it simple, look at the following companies:
Ray's (Volk), Work, SSR, ADVAN, BBS, Wedsport.

From Honda boards to Evo boards, this debate will never end.
I've used Rota before, even bent one of them nicely but never had a problem. If you are seriously just driving on the street with a few WOT pulls here and there, buy whatever you can afford.
