MBC all or nothing

I am trying to install an MBC (perrin and halman). Before i started the install my car was running on wastegate (12psi) I try to install the hallman and i get 30psi or 12 psi (if i switch the order) I can't get anything inbetween with either MBC. It's either 12psi or 30psi.

this is for my friends car. car is completely stock.

You get the big spike when the wastegate/turbo hoses are backwards. You get base WG pressure when it's installed properly and the MBC is turned to the minimum. You just have to turn it many rotations before it starts raising the boost. Did you do that yet?

So when you get it hooked up properly, and it shows 12psi at minimum, you see no change in boost when you crank it all the way to max? That means it's hooked up wrong or completely broken (not likely, especially if you're trying 2 MBCs).

You don't happen to be re-using any of the stock boost hoses do you?

Crank the knob all the way up. I did a friend of mine's controller here. He thought he had the same issues. Once I hooked his hoses up the right way and turned the knob up a bunch, he got the results he was looking for.
