GIve me a break man. bolts dont aquire rounded edges unless you over torque them, strip them, or use the wrong socket or wrench . i would only be torqueing to specs with the right tools.

Second. If you know ANYTHING about Mitsu's warranty, you know it depends on the dealership you go to. The mechanics aren't stupid mind you. There are some that KNOW when to void you. And if you're already planning to blow up the engine you might as well tell them you wanna join their racing team cus they sure as hell AREN'T gonna supply you with a new one once they find out it's modded.

Actually I don't think they'll look at it.

[edit] Third point. I don't think you deserve this car. To many people, it's hard to acquire an Evo. And for me it was especially hard but I got one. But to read that someone wants to buy one and mod the crap outta it, expecting the engine to blow...that just sickens me.
iam sorry your weak little tummy cant handle something you cant comprehend dude.most the people i know who own evos mod them so go figure, new turbos cams ect. knowing and not knowing how to modifiy your car is a reason to either mod it or not mod it. ive done everything from engine rebuilds to changing out a radiator and i would love modding the **** out the evo so its just my pereference.
iam not affraid to run say 25 psi on a bigger turbo producing 500+ crank power and rebuild the motor if it blows. 4s are easy 8s are harder i just dont want to go out and buy a new 2.4 liter stroker crank kit from AMS just yet get my drift.

Leave the car stock, enjoy the best warranty in the world, and don’t destroy the car by bolting some garage vendor parts on it.
Think about it this way.....
Are garage vendors smarter that 100 Mitsubishi engineers?
Most of these "garage vendors" never finished High School, never mind a Engineering school. Who would you trust more?
Garage vendors act on your driving/ego emotion to sell you uncertified and un-engineered parts to make MONEY. Will they fix your car if it BLOWS up...... NO!!!

Will Mitsubishi fix your car if it blows up...YES!!!(provided you dont mod it).
Its funny...most vendors after their parts cause a engine/drivetrain failure, will try to blame mitsubishi for it and demand warranty repair....!! If I was Mitsubishi, I would laugh in their faces....The sad part is that it is the customer that gets really screwed in this situation.....Don't become one...

All modifications will shorten the lifespan of your car, no matter what "Vendors" tell you. This awesome car was made for performance and longevity from the factory by qualified engineers who built the car with certain parameters in mind.

There is a high price to pay when you modify, if you are willing to pay it to get the
"extra power" or whatever the garage vendors promise you , go for it.

Enjoy the car for what it is.......
If you truly love the car, leave it stock........

come on pal, if you truly love the car leave it stock?? i cant agree with you on that. these mivec engines are made to run high boost from the factory. why not test its limits a little bit and show every fkr on the road what a jap car can do. there is always that slight chance you will blow the motor so thats why i ask.

K well you didn't sound like you had a background to this. So i apologize. But for the question i don't think the dealerships will give you a new engine. =\

^he's right, usually with a blown engine the pistons or ring lands will have pretty bad detonation scars and since the stock ECU and other parts won't allow enough of a lean condition or high enough boost to cause this amount of detonation and all of your stock parts are in full, working, non-broken or faulty condition, they'll know modding was done to cause the damage. if you blow your motor and it's your fault you just gotta eat it man.

Well then now lets just have a moment of silence for all those who ran excesive boost, blew there motor and voided there waranty due to dealership awareness of the common evo moder.

Who said anything about running 900hp on a stock motor? You're a moron.

Show me a car that lasted more than 1 year with that kind of power....

BTW, I was just giving the thread originator a objective view on a garage vendor forum.......

Why do some of you guys have to start the name calling?. People are entitled to have an opinion and express it as they see fit. Its your car do what you want. I choose to mod my car and I am happy. If it breaks from my mods I certainly won't expect the dealer to fix it.

If you mod your car and blow up your motor, it's your fault... You should pay.
If you race your car and damage your car or wreck your car, it's your fault... You should pay.

If you try to get Mitsu to pay for the damage your are dishonest, it really is as simple as that. You need to take responsibility for your actions and face the consequences for what you do.
