Non-switched power source for gauge install
Non-switched power source for gauge install
I searched and could not find any threads that said where you could find a non-switched (even hot when the key isn't on) power source for any gauge or electronics install that need one, like those that have a memory function.
So..... I started searching behind the dash. The first one I found was on the plug to the clock in the center of the dash. Red wire with a black stripe, in the four wire plug for the clock. You have to take the shrouding around the speedo/tachometer cluster (remove to phillips head screws), but the rest of the panels are just the pressure fit clips to access the plug.
Hope this helps any others looking for a non-switched power source during installs.
