Unhappy liscence revoked for a year!?!? UN REASONABLE!?

about a year ago i was doing about 45 in a 35 and my car spunout because of debris on the road, and i hit another car... a lady told the cops i was racing and was convicted of street racing and reckless driving w/ injury ( only because my car was an rsx type-s turbo) ...

a year later, after court...the speed contest was dropped but the reckless driving wasnt. the judge tells me my liscence will be suspended for around 3 months...i guess thats understandable since my record was clean before this.

today i get a letter from the dmv...stating i need 4 points to get my liscence revoked... and right now i have 2 because of what happened. then i get another letter, stating my liscence is suspender for a year! A ****ING YEAR!!!

this is my first offense and i believe this is unreasonable!!!! what are yours thoughts and experiences.... if this goes through i have to sell my car

do i talk to my lawyer about this?!?

Did you go through all of this without an attorney; you are just getting one now? If so you should have gotten one sooner. If you did have an attorney it doesnt sound like he did a very good job, I would talk to another to get a second oppinion.

Dude get a lawyer bro. That is outrageous my friend. Its actually 5points within a 18month period is when the dmv can take your license. Also dont sell your car. I would hate that to happen to you because of this instance. This can and should be overturned.

I think you are full of it personally and probably were street racing. I have never tried to avoid debris and slammed into another car in 15 years of driving, but those are the type of excuses I would use when I would get tickets as a youngin.

Get a attorney and good luck....take it to the track next time.

you need 12 points total to get suspended here. I can't see you having this many problems with a good lawyer.

I know guys with 2 DUIs still driving. Get a better lawyer. Even if you were racing, not a justifiable punishment.
