Changed to Redline, BIG differance!

So my 05 EVO just hit 10,000mi. So I decided to change all the fluids over to Redline.

This winter we have had a few 25 deg mornings. Getting the car to shift for the first half mile has been a PITA!

I changed everything over. The trans magnetic plug was FULL of shavings! Is that normal? The difs had very little. At the time I also added SS brake lines, Motul 600 fluid, and tried to add a Cusco brace (was sent the wrong dam brace!)

Now it feels like a whole new car! Shifts are slikly smooth, it just seams to have more low end, and wants to rev! My GF said the same thing. And trust me that means a lot!

So has anyone else done this and feel like the car just has more go? I do realize that changing over to synth fluid will free up some drive train lose, but WOW!

Anyone who goes to the track (not drag) you jut GOT to add the SS brake lines! WOW, the pedal is stiff as hell and I almost put my self threw the window on my first stop.

I noticed smoother shifting, but only after I got the right combo of Redline synthetics in there. I think I had all MT-90 at first and when it was cold there was hardly a chance to get into 1st. Now I have a mix with some lower weight stuff (MTL maybe?) and it shifts smooth as silk.

If you added redline to your TC and/or rear diff, make sure that you used the correct friction modifier. FWIW, I had redline in my rear diff last year and it started binding up after only 3000 miles...

I run redline MT-90 in the tranny but will only put the Diaqueen in the tc and rear diff.

So what version of redline did you use?

10-40 engine oil
MT-90/MTL mix for the trans
75-90 for every thing else. Redline is good for LSD unless you get the NS stuff, then you have to add the friction modifier.
PS fluid for the power steering
Motul 600 for the brakes
Water weter in with the coolant
