Boost gauge Q's
I am thinking about buying a different boost gauge & i am considering the vdo package from 42draftdesign.
However, i dont like the gauge that goes -30hg / 25psi, I prefer the 0-30 psi gauge. If boost does spike above 25psi, i dont want the gauge to get damaged either.
I would appreciate any insight on why i should get a gauge that shows me vacuum, as i am not too concerned about vacuum? Maybe i am missing something???
all insight would be appreciated.
Thanks

Please dont take this as me arguing, i am just not following your thinking
Here is why i disagree & my thinking regarding your response:
if your measuring your boost/vacuum reading in the factory location; within the plenum, your gauge reading is observed between the throttle blade & inlet valve. if you take off all the i/c piping & idle the car, you would still get the same vacuum reading.
if your talking about boosting situations @ wide open throttle, you would see less boost with either style gauge, feel the car being slow & hear a louder than normal whooshing sound.
Help me see your points
Thanks again for the input

I am hoping there is a signifcant reason to get the gauge that has both over my visual dislike of it.
