I "asked seller a question" on ebay and he wrote back that he was selling the car for a friend and that he has nothing to do with it. He also wrote that I should tell all Evo owners to get off of his back. I think he is getting some major heck from people, and rightfully so.

As I mentioned before, the Evo shouldn't had never being called "Lancer" Evo, it should be called Evo from the factory so that people have absolutely no confusion that a Lancer and a Evo are in fact 100% different cars.

But they are not 100% different cars, and only referring to the evo as Evolution, wouldn't stop imitators. It goes on in this world and there isn't much you can do about it. I've seen knock off Lightning kits on F-150's, V6 stangs with Cobra wheels and kits, and even 3 series with M3 bits on them. This is not the first case or the last where a manufacturer has based a high powered cart on a basic/cheaper platform.

Even non car people have taste, and can spot a tactfully done, tasteful car - against a tacky one.
