EVO bumper panels dont line up??

I just noticed something while removing my front bumper and reinstalling it.

On the driver side there is a small gap present even though all the bolts are lined up and bolted down. On the other hand on the passenger side everything lines up flush and tight between the bumper and the fender.

I know that not all cars are perfect, and due to these imperfection some body panels may not even line up right even right off the assembly line.

and if anyones wondering, no the car has never been in any accident..

Just wanted to see if anyone else has the same problem..

Hmm... the only way to fix that is to adjust the solid bumper interals. Sucks that this has happened on a car never bumped or in an accident. I had the bumper not fit completely correct in my 2001.5 Audi A4 but that was after i assume some moron bumped me while parallel parking. There were no marks on the bumper, but i'm pretty sure that was the cause.

You may have to make some adjustments to your front bulkheads mounting to fix your problem.

Yeah I'll have to take the bumper off again to see whats getting in the way.....

I also know that since my new FMIC is really wide, its kinda pushing against the bumpers plastics a bit... I'll have to retry it to see what the deal is...

Dude I have the same problem. I just noticed a few weeks ago. I got my IX brand new off the Lot. Just a few weeks ago, I noticed while washing the car, my Passenger Headlights stick out at the bottom corner closest to the middle of the car. Also the bumper has a bigger gap under the passenger headlight than the Driver side. Also the Mesh grill where the Mitsu sign is, the Mesh is pushed in at the area by the headlight and the rest of the mesh is flush. Im kinda **** about everything being even and similar. I havent been able to take the bumper or headlight off but I will eventually get to it and see what the problem is.

Thanks for posting your findings.....

Mine is the opposite....driver side bumper/fender gaps...

Its not too bad from a distance or for a passerby who glances at the car, but i guess its the owner who will eventually know all the visual flaws of his own car...
