reflash before exhaust?

so my plan for performance mods for this year power wise, as of now, are just exhaust and reflash (hoping to do a few small things each year around tax return time so i can not be poor and every year the car will feel better). i ordered my exhaust last week and it should get here next week sometime hopefully, but i won't have time to install it until more towards the end of april. the exhaust i ordered has a HFC and a magnaflow. i know the general rule with flashes is to wait until after the mod is installed, but i was wondering if the tune is really any different between a stock tune and a tune for a 3" exhaust w/ HFC? the main reason i would consider the flash before the exhaust is because i will most likely be in stamford for the next few weekends and the dynoflash shop is pretty literally about a mile from where i'll be, so rather than actually mailing it i'd rather just stop by. but after i install my exhaust i won't be in that area for a few more weeks at least, so if it's not much different i'd rather get it done now. if it is truly a different tune i'll just wait, but i have a feeling it's not very different if any different. does anyone have any info on this?

Just get a tune for the exhaust. You'll make more power even before you get the exhaust on..BTW it is only going to take you an hour tops to put the HFC and cat back on the car so it's not like you have to clear your calender.I gained about 30hp with the flash on my stock MR before the exhaut, now that I have the full exhaut I'm at about 65hp over stock with only those 2 mods and knocking on 11's door.. I reccomend dynoflash mail in.
Actually, you live in Ct., just drive to pruven for a custom tune!

i just wanted to make sure i wouldn't hurt anything as it will be a few weeks before i'll be able to actually put the exhaust on

i know, i was thinking a few hours just to be safe, but i have plans for the next at least 2 weekends and who knows what fun will come up after that

i thought about it, but given that the extent of my mods for now is going to be exhaust, i don't know how much i'd gain from going custom. i'm sure it'd be better to go custom, but it'll basically be stock, so really how much could they change? once i start playing more i may go custom, but i think for now at least a mail in will do me
