mine is bone stock, it satisfys me as my daily driver. i do plan on getting the vishnu 300 flash and leave it at that. Im done with loud *** cars, even tho this thing isnt quiet, its atleast sporty without being annoying... like alot of cars.

ecu flash, rims/tires, escort sr7 (already have) and ill be done. Im not looking for the fastest thing out there, just fast enough for me.

As far as power goes it has plenty for hill driving / auto X. If your chasing numbers drag racing then its another story but ive already been there with a 2g dsm and my Mustang.. and my bikes... so let me tell you that going 1 sec. faster in the quarter is NOT worth the money it takes to get there especially as you go faster and faster.

I believe that a completely stock EVO will be MUCH more desirable in the future just as any highly sought after car from that past is, that is completely unmolested. In the "tuner" world our EVO's stock are much MORE than most cars ever become in every category.

I don't care what people do with there cars but I do shake my head at all these EVO's being ragged out and beat up with a poorly planned list modifications.
I will keep my IX RS 100% stock, as well. I will not change a thing, not even by adding a radio. It is my daily driver, also. I regard it as my Ferrari.

I went from a mildly modded 2003 Evo (quaife, tbe, dynoflash, apexi intake, 5zigen wheels) to a 2006 MR and honestly I like the quietness of the stock exhaust. Also, I did not like the random TC leaks caused by a shoddy quaife install. I'm as enthusiastic an evo owner as any (took the 2003 to 4 track days and had a blast) but I'm just happy as can be with my bone stock MR. I realize now that all the mods I did before could never get my 03 to where my 2006 is today.

2003 Evolution VIII, original owner and 50000 miles. Mine’s stock and I’m happy with it. I’ve had a lot of fun with it and it is running like a champ.

Best wishes,
F86sabre

I should start a "Who modded thier car and regrets it" thread to go along with this one...

My car was so much more fun when it was stock. Now I have a narrower power band, tricky clutch, noisy engine mounts, and a bumpier ride...

But iTs tEh FasTar!!

Mine is only a few months old (I got one of the last few 2005's) and it's stock. I love the car, and it has plenty of power and handling capabilities for your average human being. I plan on keeping this car for the long haul. If something 'breaks' I'll put the nicest part I can find in there. My plan is to keep the car stock at least until the warranty runs out (which is a pretty long time). After the warranty runs up I'm considering doing some basic mods. (bigger TBE, upgraded DV, new fuel pump, drop-in air filter and a tune). But who knows what my priorities will be in 4.5 years? Making my already fast car, go faster, might be pretty low down on my list.

my Evo 9 is bone stock...well i had to get EcuTek flash, and that's all im doing for like a month or two...i have to save money, i have a child on the way...so i have two savings accounts, one for my kid and the other for the Evo...lol...hopefully it works out!

i had an evo 8 before, and it was heavily modded, but i was single back then...now times have changed, and i need to prioritize my spending...So im trying to get sponsored so i don't have to pay for parts!!

i think most people keep this car stock cuz either they cant afford to mod or this car's their daily driver and they're smart enough not to mod (too much), like me

i do, however, plan on getting a 2nd car and mod the sh** out of my evo
