Precision GT35 turbo

I have recently acquiered a precision gt35 turbo non-ball bearing at a really good price. Question is, is the ball bearing that much better? Should I sell this one, and get a ball bearing one? Thank you

oh and I'm planning to make it externally wastegated.

You bastard where did you get this kit from? The Ball Bearing does make a difference but it doesnt hurt to put it on and play with it.

You should get the ball-bearing one! Its better and its comes with a bigger comprossor housing than that one.

lol hey bro, got it on ebay. The guy was around south miami. Paid $580 for it, picked up.

Came with the gt35 turbo, manifold, heat shield, o2 housing, and a hks ssq bov.

He said in the auction it was a ball bearing gt35R...but the .60 A/r compressor housing told me otherwise. I still need a few more things to complete this kit though.

Well compressor housing can be changed, it does not matter, the wheel of the turbo is the unique thing about the gt35

You dont want a GT35 non ball bearing on the 2.0. The lag is bad enough with the ball bearing, without it, its going to be really laggy and it will make for unenjoyable daily driving and a sub-par powerband.

Just because it has a .60 cover on it, doesn't mean it isn't ball bearing. Post up the serial number on the turbo and me or some else will be able to tell you.

Also, that turbo looks like it has a DSM flanged turbine housing. Are you sure that kit is for an EVO?

It sounds like you got one of the Buschur 580 turbo kits. It is internal gated and nonballbearing. The mani is flanged for any bolt-on DSM turbo. You should talk to someone a Buschur about upgrade options.

706451-5005 that's a ball bearing CHRA number. That looks like a Buschur turbo kit. FP will have the DSM housing w/ external wastegate. That is a crack house deal on that kit.

ball bearings do NOT create sooner spool up. This is a common misconception.
